Focus and Scope

Techno Bahari is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Research and Community Service Center (Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat), Politeknik Negeri Madura. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, academics, professionals, and practitioners to disseminate original research findings, technological innovations, and scientific developments in engineering and applied technology.

The journal welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of engineering science, industrial applications, marine technology, and sustainable technological development. Techno Bahari publishes original research articles, review papers, and case studies covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

1. Smart Sensors, Embedded Systems, and Automation Technology

This area focuses on the development and application of intelligent sensing systems, embedded hardware and software, industrial automation, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), cyber-physical systems, artificial intelligence for automation, instrumentation, control systems, data acquisition, wireless sensor networks, smart monitoring, and intelligent manufacturing technologies.

2. Power Electronics and Renewable Energy

This scope covers research related to electrical energy conversion, power electronic systems, electric drives, power quality, energy management systems, smart grids, battery technology, electrical machines, renewable energy systems including solar, wind, biomass, hydro, marine renewable energy, energy storage technologies, and sustainable energy applications.

3. Marine Development Technology and Marine Environmental Safety

This area includes research on marine engineering, coastal and offshore technology, marine infrastructure, ocean engineering, fisheries technology, marine transportation systems, maritime safety, environmental protection, coastal resource management, pollution prevention, disaster mitigation, sustainable marine development, and technologies supporting the blue economy.

4. Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Processes, and Engineering Materials

This scope encompasses mechanical engineering research involving machine design, product development, computer-aided design (CAD), manufacturing systems, CNC machining, additive manufacturing, welding technology, production optimization, industrial engineering applications, advanced engineering materials, composite materials, material characterization, tribology, maintenance engineering, and sustainable manufacturing processes.

Techno Bahari encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates multiple engineering disciplines and promotes innovative solutions to industrial, environmental, and societal challenges. The journal particularly welcomes contributions that demonstrate practical implementation, technological innovation, and sustainable engineering practices with local, national, and global impacts.
